The Psychology Clinic is the primary training facility for the doctoral students in Duquesne University’s clinical psychology program. The clinic is housed in and operated by the Department of Psychological Sciences and is the primary training facility for graduate students in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Academic coursework, clinical practica, لینک and research training are designed to promote the development of competency in both areas. Clinic therapists treat clients with approaches validated by recent research and matched to the individual needs of the clients. Consistent with the clinical science orientation of this program, the clinic offers a wide variety of assessment and intervention services which are supported by empirical research. Our curriculum has been carefully designed to provide that broad coverage, but with a strong emphasis on empirically based approaches to assessment and intervention. With services from child assessment to counseling with older adults, the UCLA Psychology Clinic provides affordable help to all age groups. Our staff includes doctoral students in clinical psychology working under the supervision of UCLA faculty. The UCLA Psychology Clinic offers the best of both worlds: a small, people-oriented clinic and the resources of the top-rated clinical psychology program in the country. The Psychology Clinic is staffed by Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Program Faculty Members, and graduate students from the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. The student therapists are advanced graduate students in the Marshall University Clinical Psychology graduate program. Student therapists provide services under the supervision of qualified, licensed, doctoral-level clinical faculty selected by the Department of Psychology to fulfill these supervisory and teaching functions. The clinic is staffed by advanced doctoral students under the supervision of Ph.D. The doctoral students provide all services under the supervision of licensed clinical faculty members and selected licensed adjunct faculty psychologists in the community. Potential clients who call the clinic to schedule services during this time will be given the option of being placed on our waiting list or being referred to another agency. We are accepting new clients for all services at this time, although we do have a lengthy wait list.
